If your going to do this then at least fix mobile so that captioning dosent require shifting from portrait just to see the options that are cut off by cropping

My mom bought one of the last S210s made, a late production E320, that she still drives today, 18 years later. It’s had its issues, especially when new, but it keeps soldiering on. Dad had a W210 at the time and she didn’t feel like learning new systems so she bought the wagon version of the same. I remember when the climate control failured and she was told by the dealer that she didn’t know how to use it properly - wrong answer. S he’s no dummy, having gone back to school in her forties for another degree, this time in organic chemistry, and worked in a lab as a researcher. Once she explained how it worked on dad’s car they finally got to work and fixed the damn thing, a majorly expensive and time-consuming repair they probably didn’t want to do; as I recall they really had to tear apart the dash to get to the offending components.

The car has had its issues, but it has not disintegrated as much as the W210 dad sold a couple of years ago to buy his Volt. A lot of normal age stuff, like a catalytic converter, have been replaced. Just this week I helped her diagnose a failed throttle position sensor, and given the age of the car it’s not surprising that things like this have broken. It may have been a $55,000+ car when new, but now it’s just the family truck, used to haul drywall and manure and whatever else you need a truck for...

MB QC really was inconsistent then.    I think things didn’t shape up until later in the W211.

I saw an S210 E55 parked on the street in Germany a few years ago.

In about 5 years, you could bring one over.

I still have a touc h of seller’s remorse from my old E55 now and then. Not a flawless car, but something was “right” about it.

2 cars is plenty for me, thanks. Although if I came into means enough to have a large garage and spare money for a larger fleet, I might add another 210 E55 to it.

I think one of my main two reasons for not finishing it up and selling it yet is that I'll miss it. The other being laziness. I don't even have a lot to do; seat bladder, fog lights, and a bit of maintenance.

Seller’s remorse is a real thing. Coming up on 8 years ago when I moved the E55, and I still think about it sometimes.  It was also a pristine car with no immediate needs, in good colors and options.  Oh well, can’t keep em all.
